What Is The Job?

CHO associates is looking for a Cost manager to be based in Singapore/Kuala Lumpur, who will work with a team of project managers, interior designers, and contractors in the design and delivery of medium to large scale workplace transformation projects.

  • Formalizes relations with various parties: clients, partners, sub-contractors, suppliers. He/she participates in establishing works status reports.
  • Takes charge of managing claims and variation works, with the Client and/or with the supply chain: extension of deadlines, Bill of Quantity (BOQ), final a additional works, etc.
  • To support on all contractual matters relating to cost and time with the client and the subcontractors
  • Procurement for the sub-contractors and suppliers, cost evaluation and interim certification to subcontractors /suppliers.
  • Cost estimation and evaluation for Variation Claims under the Main Contract
  • Final Account evaluation with the client and sub-contractors

Who Are You?

Ability to regularize good work practices by demonstrating leadership and team guidance with your skillset of Quantity Surveying together with a good commercial awareness.

Experience in general cost advice, knowledge of external consultants, clients, suppliers and vendors. Involved in the development of our presentations to clients, manages difficult accounts and provides a shoulder to lean on during cost negotiations.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience with Main Contractor / QS Consultant firm.
  • Must be practical, able to summarize succinctly, have analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Must be available, attentive and tenacious.
