We’re proud to share that CHO Associates is one of the first 42 SMEs to graduate from the City Developments Limited (CDL) SME Supplier Decarbonisation Queen Bee Programme.
The graduation ceremony took place on 7 October 2025 at the Singapore Sustainability Academy at City Square Mall. Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, and Culture, Community and Youth, was the Guest-of-Honour.

About the programme
CDL launched the Programme in 2024 with the support of Enterprise Singapore, working with sustainability consultancy Global Green Connect. It helps SME suppliers measure their carbon emissions, develop decarbonisation roadmaps and set greenhouse gas reduction targets. According to CDL, it is the first programme of its kind led by a real estate company in Singapore.
What we learnt
Guided by Global Green Connect, our team learnt how to:
- Measure our carbon emissions, using carbon accounting tools from the Programme’s technology partners
- Build a decarbonisation roadmap tailored to how we work
- Set greenhouse gas reduction targets we can track over time
- Collect emissions data the right way, using a framework aligned with CDP and SBTi requirements, the standards many of our corporate clients report against
What it means for our clients
At the ceremony, CDL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Sherman Kwek, noted that “SMEs who show capacity for carbon reporting will stand out as preferred suppliers.” We see this every day: more clients now ask their contractors about carbon and sustainability.
With these skills, we’re better placed to support clients who are working towards their own net-zero goals, from the way we plan a fit-out to the data we can share at the end of a project.
A heartfelt thank you to CDL, Enterprise Singapore and Global Green Connect for the guidance, and congratulations to our fellow graduates.
