On 28 July 2026, Delta Electronics officially opened its new Johor Bahru office at the Southern Industrial and Logistics Clusters (SiLC) in Iskandar Puteri. We’re proud to have been Delta’s turnkey design-and-build partner. One CHO Associates team took the 80,000 sq ft office from first design to handover in just 8 weeks.

The new office expands Delta’s presence beyond Petaling Jaya and Penang, and helps it serve customers and partners across the Johor–Singapore corridor. It includes a showcase where Delta presents its data centre power and cooling systems to visitors (Delta Electronics news release).

Why speed matters for data centre companies in Malaysia
Malaysia’s digital infrastructure is growing fast. Operators such as Princeton Digital Group and AirTrunk are expanding campuses in Johor, and a 500MW data centre park is planned in Kuching, Sarawak. On 25 October 2026, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son plans to invest US$50 billion in AI, emerging technology and data centres in Malaysia.
Investors are also favouring operators whose capacity is already up and running, so every week saved on the ground counts, right down to the office your team works from.
What we build for data centre and technology companies
We fit out the spaces around your data centre, where people work, meet and sell:
- Regional offices for engineering, operations and commercial teams
- Showrooms and experience centres to present power, cooling and IT solutions
- Meeting and training rooms for customer briefings and technical training
- Staff amenities such as pantries, breakout areas and wellness spaces
- Industrial building upgrades (addition and alteration works)
- Reinstatement when you move or consolidate
We don’t build data halls. Those belong with specialist data centre contractors. We fit out everything around them, so your people and customers have a finished space when the facility goes live.

Setting up in Johor? Questions we hear most
What should a data centre company’s office in Johor include?
More than desks. Most teams need space for operations and engineering staff, rooms for customer briefings and technical training, and amenities that help with hiring in a competitive market. If customers will visit, a showcase or experience area lets you show your solutions, not just talk about them.
How do we keep an office fit-out on schedule in Malaysia?
Fix the big decisions early, order long-lead items such as AV, lighting and specialist equipment first, and keep design and construction under one team so changes don’t bounce between parties. Having our own carpentry production facility in Pontian also means custom joinery doesn’t wait in a supplier’s queue.
Can we run a Johor project from our Singapore office?
Yes. Many of our clients are headquartered in Singapore. With teams on both sides of the Causeway, you get one point of contact in Singapore and a delivery team on the ground in Johor, without having to manage a separate local contractor yourself.
Should a showroom be designed differently from an office?
Yes. A showroom tells a story, so it is planned around the visitor’s route, sightlines and lighting, and it often needs extra power and cooling for live equipment. An office is planned around how your people work every day. Many companies need both, and they work best when planned together.
What if our team grows quickly or we need to move later?
Plan flexible spaces from day one so the office can absorb new hires, as we did when planning Grab’s headquarters at one-north. If you later move or consolidate, we can also handle reinstatement, returning the space to landlord condition. See our services.
